Gender Matters

Gender Matters

Gender Matters is about equal gender representation. At Psychedelics United we believe that inclusivity offers a wider perspective, a more varied discourse and a safer environment that leads to more accurate data, more valid solutions and a greater understanding for all.

Win / Win / Win right? Then why are people opposing it? Oh, right.

‘In early 2019 I was turned on to the music of Olof Dreijer. While an amazing artist, he also performs only at events with equal gender representation in the lineup of artists – no more than 50% people who identify as male.
And that woke me up. If I do not question conferences where the lineup of speakers is overwhelmingly male and merely accept that as the status quo then I am not doing my part.’

Sex and gender distinction

“The distinction between sex and gender differentiates a person’s biological sex from that person’s gender, which can refer to either social roles based on the sex of the person or personal identification of one’s own gender based on an internal awareness.” Wickipedia
Psychedelics United agrees with the above. We also believe gender is a spectrum.
